Playing and teaching bass guitar is not like regular guitar.. the rolls are different and the techniques are vastly different.
Having played bass for almost as long as I've been playing guitar I can tell you than I'm not just a guitarist turning his hand to bass.. I am a bass player and teacher.
As a bassist you need to know certain techniques and certain theory and I can teach these to you. Whether you are a beginner or improving you will benefit from my years of experience.
Modes, Pentatonics and arpeggios are even more important to a bass player than a guitar player, and you get to use them all the time. I will show you how to use all of these to take your playing to a new level.
Inversions are hugely important and lots of bass players get these wrong or don't even know about them.. compound chords also are necessary to know and fail without proper knowledge from the bassist.
There can be a fair amount of theory to learn but we can work at your level, speed and taste in music.
Playing with a pick, fingers, slapping or even 2 handed tapping are some of the techniques that you will learn with my lessons.
Timing and groove are things that a bass player must have. You need to be able to connect with the drummer and I have exercises and experience to help you.
I've been playing and teaching bass for long enough to probably be able to help you.
